LG Electronics stepped in to provide much-needed relief to communities affected by Typhoon Carina.
The company recently conducted a three-day free laundry service and appliance check-up initiative in Barangay Planters and Barangay Anak Pawis 2 in Westbank Drive, Cainta, Rizal, from August 1 to 3, and Barangay Malanday in Marikina City, from August 9 to 11.
To assist families still recovering from the typhoon’s destructive impacts, LG established mobile laundry stations in the center of these barangays. The stations—equipped with 11 washer and dryer units—operated from 8am to 5pm and offered free laundry services to residents.
A total of 567 families benefited from LG’s initiative, with 280 families in Cainta and 287 families in Marikina receiving assistance.
In addition to the laundry services, LG’s skilled technicians provided free service check-ups, minor repairs, and discounted prices for washer parts, helping residents restore their homes to working order.
Abenson and Smile Serve, their sales/service partner, also gave support for the LG Service Camp and extended help to the families affected by the typhoon. Abenson rolled out their CSR campaign called ‘Abenson Project Cares’ by donating laundry detergents and fabric conditioners along with foldable fans to the families who participated.
