LG has unveiled two SMART Monitors—the 31.5-inch 32SR50F and 27-inch 27SR50F—that offer a neat trick: they don’t require any PC connection at all.

That’s because these monitors integrate LG’s webOS platform, allowing users to stream media, run productivity software, and even control smart home devices without needing to hook it up to a PC.

They come pre-loaded with LG’s Home Office suite, including Microsoft 365 and Google Calendar support, as well as streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV app, and Disney+.

AirPlay and Miracast support make it easy to share content from mobile devices, while the ThinQ app allows you to connect the monitors to various IoT-compatible household appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines.

The LG SMART Monitors feature FHD-resolution 60Hz IPS displays with HDR 10 support, two 5W speakers, HDMI and USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The new LG SMART Monitors are scheduled to be released in key markets in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America, with availability starting in the US this month.
