For many families in Barangay Tres Cruses, healthcare just became easier to reach. LG Philippines officially opened the new Barangay Tres Cruses Health Center in Tanza, Cavite on November 4, improving access to essential maternal and child health services.

The health center is part of the “Programa Para sa Alagang Ina at Sanggol,” led by Dr. Ruth Punzalan, winner of the 2025 LG Ambassador Challenge. Through the initiative, healthcare services in Barangay Tres Cruses have been expanded and made more reliable, allowing the center to now accommodate up to 10 patients daily—double the capacity of the previous half-day setup.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Punzalan highlighted the impact of the project on the community. She noted that many families previously struggled to access basic health services. With the new facility, pregnant women, mothers, and children can now receive regular checkups, essential medicines, and timely vaccinations closer to home.

The upgraded health center offers comprehensive maternal care, including prenatal consultations, postpartum support, and counseling for new mothers. Pediatric services have also been enhanced, enabling healthcare workers to administer vaccines, manage common childhood illnesses, and monitor children’s overall well-being.

The event was attended by representatives from LG Philippines and partner organizations, including Kim Kwan Hyun and Ann Young Eui of Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), as well as community volunteers who play a vital role in the center’s day-to-day operations.

LG Electronics Philippines Managing Director Nakhyun Seong emphasized the company’s commitment to community development. “This health center represents hope, progress, and meaningful change for families in the area,” he said. “At LG Philippines, we believe that innovation must create better lives. Through the LG Ambassador Challenge, projects like this help communities grow stronger and healthier for generations.”
