Formula 1 and Lenovo have extended their partnership with a multi-year renewal that will elevate Lenovo to the status of a Global Partner starting in 2025.

As part of this agreement, Motorola, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group, will also become the Global Smartphone Partner of F1.

The renewed partnership will see Lenovo continue to provide F1 with state-of-the-art technology devices, solutions, and services. Lenovo will serve as the title sponsor for two races per season and both Lenovo and Motorola will have increased trackside branding.

Lenovo has been a part of F1’s operations as an Official Partner since 2022. It has been supporting the delivery of Grands Prix through its High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, servers, and edge devices.

The tech giant’s Asset Recovery Service has also helped F1 sustainably dispose of 95% of obsolete hardware, contributing to reduced emissions and the goal of reaching Net Zero by 2030.

The partnership has also seen innovative collaborations, such as the kiss-activated trophies at the Formula 1 Lenovo Japanese Grand Prix 2024 and Formula 1 Lenovo US Grand Prix 2023.

Both F1 and Lenovo share a commitment to sustainability and the exploration of next-generation technologies, such as Lenovo AI PCs, AI-enabled Motorola smartphones and AR/VR solutions.

Through direct collaboration between F1’s technical teams and Lenovo’s Centres of Excellence, cutting-edge solutions are being developed to tackle various challenges, including the use of onsite and Edge Compute AI to enhance operational efficiency during live F1 broadcasts.
