Joy and Skilcraft’s journey began when she launched “Splash Coinwash Laundry.” Joy recounted that the initial motivation for Splash Coinwash was the lack of self-service laundromats in their area. Recognizing a market gap, she and her team took a leap of faith and introduced LG Commercial Laundry Machines—initially coin-operated—to their community.
Capital was a major initial hurdle, but they overcame this by starting with two sets of machines and reinvesting their earnings to gradually expand. This patient and persistent approach led to significant growth.
Today, all Splash Coinwash branches operate under the name Laundry Lounge, with six locations across Cagayan de Oro City, Opol, El Salvador City, Iligan City, Talisay City, and Cebu City. A seventh branch in Tres de Abril, Cebu, is nearing completion, and further expansion is planned for Surigao City, Pagadian City, and Lapu-Lapu City.
The decision to use LG Commercial Washers was based on a perception of the brand as offering the best value and superior quality from the outset—and this confidence has been reinforced over time. “The durability of LG has stood the test of time in our laundromats for over a decade. In fact, the original machines we had when we started our laundromats are still in good condition until now,” she shared.
