Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of cadets from the Kia Technician’s Boot Camp (KTBC), a pioneering training initiative designed to equip Filipino technicians with world-class automotive skills.
Launched in September 2024, KTBC offers advanced, hands-on training in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and servicing of fuel-powered, hybrid, and electric vehicles. Graduates are proficient in Kia Diagnostic Systems (KDS) and advanced troubleshooting tools, enabling them to service both traditional and next-generation vehicles.

The program, held at the Kia Training Center in Carmona in partnership with Don Bosco Makati and Batangas State University, emphasizes both technical expertise and character development, preparing cadets for careers in the evolving mobility landscape.
KTBC cadets also undergo character formation sessions led by industry leaders from ACMobility, focusing on brand values, professional behavior, and leadership development. Their training includes mastery of service process standards, technical service bulletin interpretation, and advanced diagnostics in areas such as noise, vibration, and harshness.
Fifteen cadets, many from underserved communities, completed the rigorous training and are now employed within Kia’s dealership network. Top graduates will have the chance to represent the Philippines at the 12th Kia World Skills Cup in Seoul, South Korea, set for 2026.
The second batch of cadets will join KTBC in August 2025, continuing Kia’s commitment to developing top-tier talent for the future of mobility.
