Kia has unveiled its latest contender in the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment—the all-new Kia Seltos.

The crossover is available locally in three variants and two engine options:

  • Kia Seltos 1.5 LX: P1,198,000
  • Kia Seltos 1.5 EX: P1,288,000
  • Kia Seltos 1.4 Turbo SX: P1,688,000

The 1.5 LX and EX variants are now on display in showrooms, while the top-of-the-line Seltos SX will be arriving in showrooms soon.

The 1.5-liter engine produces 113hp and 144Nm and is mated to Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (similar to a CVT). The 1.4-liter turbocharged engine, on the other hand, churns out 138hp and 242Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The updated Seltos features redesigned headlamps, a larger grille, new LED daytime running lights, vertical LED foglights (on higher-grade models), and a modified front bumper with a new skid plate. At the back, there’s a new LED lightbar and sharper LED taillights, emphasizing the sporty vibe. The rear bumper also got a skid plate for an extra touch of style.

The Seltos has a modern and futuristic interior with bright screens and clean, geometric shapes. The highlight is the dual panoramic displays, combining a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and an 8- or 10.25-inch center display, depending on the variant.

The Seltos LX and EX variants come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; rear-camera display; drivere and front passenger airbags; six speakers; and single zone auto A/C. The Seltos EX also comes with smart entry + push start, power fold side mirrors, and LED headlamps and DRLs.

Meanwhile, the top-tier Seltos SX has smart cruise control; lane keeping assist, forward colision avoidance assist, mood lamp, leather seats, power driver seats, front with side airbags, panoramic sunroof, mobile phone wireless charger, and LED headlamps, foglamps, and DRLs.

The Kia Seltos comes with a 5-year/160,000km warranty.
