JBL revives its classic 1970s L100 speaker and the timeless turntable with modern tech—all while keeping their retro aesthetic.
The new Authentics speaker range and Spinner BT turntable promise an immersive audio experience complete with wireless connectivity and sleek finishes.
The Authentics range incorporates iconic elements—such as the Quadrex grille pattern, premium aluminum frame, and custom leather-like enclosure—and blends these with contemporary touches such as softer flowing edges and a subtle convex form.
They’re also made with% recycled fabric, plastics, and% aluminum, and they come in an FSC-certified carton box printed with soy ink.
The Authentics 200, 300, and 500 support music streaming services and even simultaneously run Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The series also boasts seamless Bluetooth pairing, intuitive controls, and JBL One app support.
The Authentics 500 is equipped with three 1-inch tweeters, three 2.75-inch midrange woofers, and a 6.5-inch downfiring woofer. It also has Dolby Atmos support, which means it can play spatial 3D audio from compatible streaming services.
The JBL Authentics 300 comes with a convenient metal handle and built-in 8-hour battery, while the compact JBL Authentics 200 promises to produce clear, balanced sound with deep bass.
The JBL Spinner BT, on the the other hand, pairs with portable speakers, soundbars, and headphones via Bluetooth so you can stream your vinyl records to compatible devices.
It can also play via wired connection via switchable moving magnet phono stage for use with traditional component audio systems or active loudspeaker systems.
The turntable has a sleek design with an aluminum platter and tonearm, black MDF plinth with JBL orange accents, a contemporary front panel, and a hinged dust cover.
