Legal research often requires hours of searching through cases, statutes, and legal documents. A new AI-powered platform called Intellegal aims to simplify that process for Philippine lawyers by bringing research, analysis, and document review into a single workspace.
Developed by Makati-based Technese Legaltech Inc., Intellegal is designed specifically for the Philippine legal sector. The platform combines case-law search, statutory research, deep legal synthesis, case comparison, legal-document visualization, and contract review tools to help legal professionals navigate complex materials more efficiently.
According to the company, Intellegal is built on the principle that artificial intelligence should support—not replace—legal expertise. Rather than providing answers that cannot be verified, the platform is designed to help users quickly find relevant legal sources, analyze information, and make informed decisions while retaining full professional judgment.
Intellegal’s primary research capabilities are anchored in two core engines: Case-Law Analytics and Deep Synthesis.
Case-Law Analytics serves as a unified Philippine case-law search and analysis tool that allows users to search cases, identify related laws, and conduct legal analysis within a single workflow. This reduces the need to move between multiple databases, legal texts, and research notes.
Deep Synthesis, on the other hand, enables users to ask legal questions in plain language and receive structured legal research reports based on Philippine cases, laws, and regulations. Each citation can be traced back to its original source, allowing users to verify the information and review the underlying legal authorities themselves.

We want lawyers to ask questions in everyday language and, in a single workflow, see the relevant cases, the laws that govern those cases, and a clear analysis they can verify. Apart from its two core research engines, Intellegal includes several tools designed to support day-to-day legal work. Law Explorer helps users navigate statutes and regulations alongside related case law, while Case Contrast allows lawyers to compare decisions, legal issues, facts, rulings, and reasoning across multiple cases.
The platform also features Visual Digest, which transforms lengthy legal documents into concise summaries and visual outlines to make complex materials easier to understand.
Meanwhile, Contract Review analyzes documents clause by clause against relevant Philippine law. The tool identifies potential risks by flagging potential issues as Must Fix, Should Fix, Optional, or Missing. The tool can also generate redlined versions with tracked changes, with each recommendation linked to a legal basis.
Intellegal is now available to users across the Philippine legal ecosystem, including law students, bar reviewees, solo practitioners, law firms, and corporate legal teams. The company said all user data, uploaded documents, and research histories are protected through encryption and are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
