IKEA Pasay City has been named IKEA Store of the Year 2025, a rare global recognition that marks a historic first for the Philippines.
The award highlights the store’s outstanding retail performance and its ability to connect with Filipino customers. Through a mix of IKEA’s Swedish roots and a strong understanding of local lifestyles, IKEA Pasay City has created a shopping experience tailored to how Filipinos live and shop.
“When we won Store of the Year, we were speechless in the best possible way,” said Daniel Rivero, IKEA Pasay store manager. “This is an incredible achievement for the team in the Philippines. Their passion, commitment, and togetherness truly shine through. The recognition is both affirming and emotionally rewarding for us all.”
To celebrate the milestone, IKEA Pasay City rolled out the blue carpet on May 14 and transformed its Swedish Restaurant into a Hall of Fame-inspired celebration venue. Guests walked through the Champion’s Walk runway, which featured notable Filipino achievers, while celebrity guests including Pia Wurtzbach, Hidilyn Diaz, and Josh Boutwood joined the festivities.
As part of the recognition, IKEA Philippines will send 12 co-workers to IKEA Headquarters in Älmhult, Sweden, for a learning journey focused on the brand’s culture and values.

For Ricardo Pinheiro, IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager, the store’s success goes beyond numbers. He credited the team’s people-first mindset, consistency, and ability to connect with customers through thoughtful retail experiences—including affordable and well-loved food offerings.
The store also excelled in sales performance, increasing add-on purchases and averaging nearly 17 items per transaction. By the end of 2025, IKEA Pasay City had sold more IKEA home furnishing pieces than any other IKEA store worldwide.
As part of the celebration, IKEA Pasay City is offering a “Winning Offer” promo from May 14 to 31, 2026, featuring discounts on select furniture and home décor pieces.
