The HONOR Magic6 Pro has claimed the top spot as the best camera smartphone in the recent DxOMark ranking test with a score of 158.
The independent camera testing organization has awarded the device as the top contender in terms of global camera, battery, display and selfie features, as of this writing.
The Magic6 Pro’s triple rear camera system is composed of a 50MP main camera with a variable aperture that can switch between f/1.4 and f/2.0, a 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a 180MP periscope with 2.5x optical zoom.
According to the latest DxOMark rating, the Magic6 Pro achieved a 160 score in Photo, 85 in Bokeh, 83 in Preview, 160 in Zoom, and 150 in Video.
DxOMark highlighted the phone’s ability to produce “vivid and natural colors in both photo and video.” It also praised the phone’s detail at most zoom settings and its fast and accurate autofocus. Portrait rendering, wide depth of field, wide dynamic range, and accurate face exposure were also commended.
The Magic6 Pro also topped in DxOMark’s battery ranking, thanks to improvements in the battery’s autonomy and charging. The device sports a 5600mAh battery that can last up to three-and-a-half days of autonomy under moderate usage. According to DxOMark, the battery performed impressively in most individual test cases, including idle screen-on, video streaming, gaming, and calling.
