To help Filipinos vote smarter and get to the polls easier, Grab Philippines and MOVE IT have joined forces with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for #RideToVote, a two-phase voter education and empowerment campaign ahead of the May 12 midterm elections.
The initiative combines voter education with transport accessibility, leveraging Grab’s digital reach— including its app, social media platforms, and influencer network—to deliver vital election information. These include election day checklists, ID requirements, and voting do’s and don’ts, all designed to guide Filipinos toward a smoother voting experience.
“As a partner in nation-building and progress, Grab Philippines recognizes that an informed and empowered electorate is the cornerstone of a strong democracy,” said Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda.
“Through this partnership with COMELEC, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the Filipino people not only in their everyday journeys, but also in their collective journey toward a more inclusive and prosperous future,” he added.
To help voters physically reach polling stations, Grab is offering a P50 discount on GrabCar rides with the code RIDETOVOTE from 7am to 7pm on election day. Meanwhile, MOVE IT users can use the code BOTONAMI to get P20 off motorcycle taxi rides from May 10 to 12.
Grab is also deploying booking assistance stations in 10 of the country’s busiest voting centers—primarily located in Metro Manila and Cebu. Staffed by trained brand ambassadors, these booths will help voters book discounted rides with ease.
In a targeted inclusion effort, COMELEC is also launching Early Voting Hours for senior citizens, Persons with Disabilities, and pregnant voters. From 5am to 7am, these vulnerable sectors will be given first access to voting centers to ease their experience at the polls.
Registered senior citizens and PWDs on the Grab platform will receive a special promo code via a Grab in-app message. This code, fully sponsored by Grab, enables them to claim FREE rides during Early Voting Hours to ensure convenient and accessible transportation on election day.
