In a bold push to close the country’s digital divide, Globe has partnered with global nonprofit unconnected.org to deliver satellite-powered internet and vital infrastructure to some of the Philippines’ most hard-to-reach schools.
The collaboration was formalized at Innovania 2025, Globe’s annual technology and innovation summit, where both organizations signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed at expanding digital access in underserved communities.
unconnected.org works to bring excluded populations into the digital economy by enabling local entrepreneurs to build and operate telecom infrastructure. This mission aligns with Globe’s ongoing commitment to inclusive and sustainable digital solutions for Filipinos.
Globe and unconnected.org’s partnership will establish community networks that empower students and teachers with e-learning platforms, online resources, and professional collaboration tools.
Beyond the classroom, the initiative extends benefits to entire communities, unlocking access to livelihood opportunities, digital marketplaces, and public services.
