Globe is set to launch the innovative fiber-to-the-room (FTTR) technology, becoming among the first telecommunications providers in Southeast Asia to do so.
FTTR provides extremely fast and seamless Wi-Fi connection with exceptionally low latency. It has about 10 times better speed and coverage than traditional Wi-Fi. Additionally, FTTR can handle up to 128 device connections.
This new Globe At Home solution will help customers maximize Wi-Fi signals and avoid dead spots in large spaces, houses, and buildings with thick multiple concrete walls and floors, and too many connected devices.
Meanwhile, Globe At Home also launched the first ever end-to-end digital fiber purchase experience with the all-new GFiber plans.
Current Globe postpaid mobile and GCash customers may complete their orders in just five minutes with pre-filled forms online. Customers may also easily book technicians based on their preferred schedule and track their location real time. Globe At Home also offers same-day connection for those who complete their application before 2 p.m., and guarantee installation within 24 hours.
Subscribers can choose between GFiber Plan 1699 with speeds of up to 150Mbps and GFiber Plan 2099 with up to 300Mbps. These internet-only plans with waived installation fees are exclusive for digital and retail stores in select barangays across the country.
