As countries reopen their borders, Globe and mobile wallet GCash have joined hands so that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) can support and remain connected with their loved ones back home.
Under the partnership, OFWs with Globe Prepaid and TM SIMs can use GCash to easily top-up and register to roaming promos that allow them to keep in touch with their families.
Globe’s Roam Surf data packs, on the other hand, come with free GCash access so customers can conveniently use the digital wallet to remit funds to their loved ones for free, pay for their bills, and manage other financial transactions.
Globe’s first-ever GCash-exclusive roaming offer, Roam All Net 99, gives OFWs savings of more than P4,200 on roaming calls and texts. For only P99/day, OFWs can enjoy 30 mins of outgoing and incoming calls and 30 all-net texts so family and friends are always within reach.
Meanwhile, those who prefer calling via International Direct Dial (IDD) can do so more affordably with Globe GOCALL IDD offers: up to 80 minutes in call credits to North America and Asia, and 40 minutes to Europe and Africa.
Users can also choose any of the four GOCall IDD variants available in the app: GOCALLIDD 30/50/99/199.
Globe subscribers in the Philippines may also purchase roaming promos for their loved ones abroad through the Buy Load feature on GCash.
The partnership also provides convenience and broader coverage. With GCash, sending money requires fewer details than bank transfers and can be done securely via mobile.
In addition, GCash has remittance partners in more than 31 countries worldwide, making it easier for OFWs to cash-in funds and transfer them to other GCash users.
