GCash has launched the latest installment of its #GCashStories campaign, featuring the journey of lawyer Sheila Gomez, whose dream of passing the Bar became a reality with perseverance, disciplined financial planning, and the support of GLoan.

The sixth installment of this year’s campaign, titled “Kasama Mo Mangarap,” highlights Gomez’s experience as a working student who balanced a full-time job as a legal aide with the demands of law school while navigating the financial challenges that came with pursuing a legal career.

As tuition, examination costs, and daily expenses mounted, Gomez turned to GLoan for financial support, allowing her to continue her studies without interrupting her education. She eventually passed the Bar and now practices law, crediting responsible borrowing as one of the tools that helped her stay focused on achieving her goal.

“One of the biggest lessons I learned is that perseverance doesn’t always mean doing everything on your own. Sometimes, it means having the courage to seek the right support,” Gomez said during a fireside chat, adding that responsible borrowing can help people invest in opportunities that move them closer to their goals.

The campaign is part of GCash’s broader #GCashStories initiative, which shares real-life accounts of Filipinos whose lives have been transformed through digital financial services. Previous stories featured entrepreneurs, community leaders, para-athletes, and workers who used GCash products to rebuild livelihoods, grow businesses, or improve access to financial services.

According to Neil Trinidad, Chief Marketing Officer of GCash’s parent company Mynt, the campaign aims to demonstrate how financial inclusion can help Filipinos overcome everyday challenges and pursue long-term aspirations.

Sheila’s story also coincides with the 10th anniversary of Fuse Financing Inc., GCash’s lending arm, which said it continues to promote fair and transparent lending by providing collateral-free digital loans designed to help Filipinos meet educational, personal, and business needs.
