The well-loved Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle Gardens is back, and this year’s installation promises to be more spectacular than ever. Aside from the classic light show, there are two new attractions that will illuminate the garden.

The first attraction at Festival of Lights 2023: Christmas Nights with Countless Lights is the traditional light show aptly named “Kaleidoscope of Sight, Sound, and Light,” directed by Ohm David.  It features new lighting technology called mappable LED lights, as well as interactive floor projections.

Watch the garden floors transform into a dazzling display of light and color with larger-than-life projections. Chase interactive images—such as playful butterflies flitting across the courtyard—brought to life by Kroma (formerly Globe Studios).

Musical medleys include “Paskong Pinoy,” a visual symphony narrating the story of Simbang Gabi through vibrant lights and Filipino Christmas carols; “Cosmic K-Pop Christmas,” a K-Pop concert in the middle of Ayala Triangle Gardens that will put you in a celebratory spirit; and “Big Band Holiday,” which combines Art Deco-inspired lights and projections with iconic tunes.

In addition to the main light show at the courtyard, visitors can also discover curated installations in other parts of the gardens.

Wish Upon a Light

A new attraction, called “Wish Upon a Light,” can be found at the northern portion of the gardens. It’s basically a wishing pond where you can write your wishes on an interactive screen, which are in turn flashed on a green wall.

Artist’s perspective of “Liter of Light”

The other new attraction is “Liter of Light,” a collaboration with Arte House, Leeroy New, and Illac Diaz. This art installation featuring “Elemento” by Leeroy New sheds light on an inspiring story about how recycled plastic bottles, water, and bleach brought 55 watts of light to classrooms that didn’t have electricity. The installation is lit up using solar-powered, recycled water bottles.” It will be available starting December 2.

Festival of Lights 2023: Christmas Nights with Countless Lights runs from November 14, 2023 to January 14, 2024. The show plays every hour, with the first run at 6pm and last run at 10pm.
