Epson has launched its refreshed brand message, “Engineered for Good,” in Southeast Asia, marking a pivotal shift that underscores the company’s commitment to marry innovation with purpose to contribute towards a sustainable future.
This new message redefines Epson’s identity, positioning the brand as a champion of sustainability and meaningful innovation.
Transitioning from its former brand message, “It’s In the Details,” Epson now emphasizes a mission that extends beyond product excellence, leveraging technology to enrich communities. This shift aligns with Epson’s corporate philosophy of ‘sho-sho-sei’—Japanese for ‘efficient, compact, and precise’—and aims to deliver innovations that not only meet high standards of efficiency and precision but also address global environmental challenges.
This brand shift also builds on Epson’s momentum toward its Environmental Vision 2050, which sets a goal to become carbon negative and underground resource-free by 2050.
At the close of 2023, Epson Southeast Asia adopted 100% renewable energy at all major sites and factories worldwide, including the Batangas plant in the Philippines.
Significantly, Epson phased out laser printers in Southeast Asia by the end of 2023 due to laser technology’s limited potential for sustainable improvements compared to inkjet printers.
