Epson has added two new models to its Point-Of-Sale (POS) receipt printer lineup—the Epson TM-P20II and TM-P80II—designed with enhanced product features and ideal for busy and on-the-go environments such as distribution, logistics, and utility.
Both the Epson TM-P20II and TM-P80II feature a small and light footprint. They are also portable so you can carry the printer around using accessories such as shoulder or belt straps. The printers have a flip cover for easy paper roll replacement, and there’s an LED indicator panel on top to quickly spot and fix printer issues.
Given the potentially rugged nature of outdoor environments, the Epson TM-P20II and TM-P80II printers are built to be sturdy. The TM-P20II can survive a drop from 2.1 meters, and the TM-P80II can handle a drop from 1.9 meters. They also have designs that protect against dust and liquids (IP54 standard), making them safe even in wet tropical climates.
To deal with long operating hours required in outdoor environments, the TM-P20II and TM-P80II are equipped with rechargeable batteries that have long battery life. The TM-P80II Wi-Fi version can last up to 25 hours, and the Bluetooth version can last up to 47 hours. For the TM-P20II, the Wi-Fi version can last up to 15 hours with power-saving mode, and the Bluetooth version can last up to 27 hours.
These printers are safe to use because they don’t have any sharp cutting blades for tearing off receipts. The printers also have smooth surfaces that are easy to clean after a full day of use.
To accommodate different business environments, the TM-P20II and TM-P80II feature a wide range of connectivity options—from Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct Print, to USB Type C.
