As businesses move more operations into digital systems, physical documents remain a routine part of everyday work. Invoices still require approval, contracts need to be filed, and forms, receipts, and records often have to be scanned, organized, and shared across teams.

Epson Document Capture Pro is designed to help businesses streamline these processes by creating structured scanning workflows through compatible Epson DS series document scanners. The solution provides document capture and workflow capabilities without requiring organizations to purchase separate software.

Depending on the device, Document Capture Pro allows users to create up to 30 customizable scan jobs. These workflows can be configured around frequently processed documents, helping teams apply consistent settings and reduce repetitive manual tasks.

The software also features optical character recognition (OCR), which converts text from scanned pages into searchable digital information. Supported file formats include JPEG, PDF, TIFF, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX, depending on the device and operating system. OCR can also convert scanned content into editable Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, allowing users to update or repurpose information without recreating it manually.

For educators and trainers, this can make it easier to turn printed learning materials into editable presentations or documents. Businesses can similarly convert reports and tables into digital files for collaboration and analysis.

Document Capture Pro can also automatically separate scanned documents using conditions such as blank pages, barcodes, OCR, form type, file size, and patch codes. Files can then be routed to compatible cloud services such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.

“For many businesses, physical documents remain part of daily operations even as more work moves into digital systems. Epson develops document solutions that help make these processes easier to manage and help employees access the information they need,” said Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing at Epson Philippines Corporation.
