Locals of Zamboanga may now utilize Eastern Communications’ products and services—including connectivity, data, and ICT solutions—to aid their digital transformation journey as the telco has officially launched in one of Mindanao’s main economic hubs.

“2023 is Zamboanga’s year and we want Filipinos in the area to know that our services are now within their reach,” Eastern Communications Co-coordinator Atty. Aileen Regio said.

“Through this expansion, we look forward to empowering more businesses, families, and individuals through reliable connectivity and ICT services. We are confident we can provide them with an avenue to help them connect with each other and the rest of the world and enable them to grow their businesses,” she added.

Eastern Communications Co-Coordinator Atty. Aileen Regio shares the brand’s high touch promise of assisting businesses in Zamboanga as its services are officially launched in the area.

Eastern Communications has been ramping up its nationwide expansion and the landing of its joint infrastructure project, the Philippine Domestic Cable Network (PDSCN). Zamboanga City has served as an entryway for the telco to further expand its full suite of telco and ICT services in the province.

In line with Eastern Communications’ goal of nationwide digitization, the $150-million PDSCN project intends to enhance mobile and broadband connectivity by making fiber internet accessible in Zamboanga and other underserved areas in the Philippines.

At press time, the PDSCN project has successfully reached a total of 33 sites including Iloilo, Bacolod, Boracay, Cebu, Siargao, Camiguin, and Zamboanga Peninsula, among others.

Additionally, businesses from Zamboanga can now take advantage of Eastern Communications’ high-speed internet services: Internet Direct Service (IDS) and Fiber 1.

Through IDS, Eastern Communications’ subscribers can enjoy a premium Internet service that utilizes leased line technology to deliver high-speed dedicated Internet connectivity to customers who require flexible bandwidth options.

Meanwhile, Fiber1 runs purely on Eastern’s redundant fiber optic links via Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), ideal for basic business operations of small to medium enterprises in Zamboanga.
