Road travel in the Philippines is entering a new era with the launch of “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” — a landmark partnership between ACMobility, BYD Cars Philippines, and the Department of Tourism.
The initiative signals a bold step toward sustainable land travel, featuring a nationwide electrified journey from North to South aboard BYD vehicles, supported by ACMobility’s end-to-end charging network.
“This partnership between ACMobility, BYD, and the Department of Tourism is a defining moment for sustainable travel in our country. Together, we are leading the charge to reshape the way Filipinos travel and experience the Philippines. By breaking the old mold of mobility we are able to fuel tourism with zero emissions,” says Jaime Alfonso Zobel De Ayala, CEO of ACMobility.
Central to the campaign is ACMobility’s Philippine EV Spine, a growing charging network designed to enable seamless long-distance electric travel from Pagudpud to General Santos City. By integrating EV infrastructure into DOT Tourist Rest Areas, the collaboration aims to make road trips cleaner, more accessible, and economically beneficial to local communities.
Launching in the first quarter of this year, the campaign will be led by Filipino-American travel vlogger Wil Dasovich. As lead navigator, Dasovich will embark on a groundbreaking road trip across the Philippines to rediscover local culture and landmarks. His journey is designed to amplify the DOT’s “Love the Philippines” messaging by showcasing storytelling-driven travel that leaves no carbon footprint behind.
