That moment before checkout should feel effortless—but instead, it’s often interrupted by passwords, OTPs, and repeated verification, even for everyday purchases.

Coins.ph is changing that with Link & Pay, a tokenized payment feature that lets users skip the friction and pay in just a tap—fast, secure, and seamless.

Tokenization works by replacing sensitive account details with a secure, unique “token.” Instead of sharing login credentials with merchants, users authorize a token that verifies a specific transaction. Once an account is linked, future purchases no longer require repeated logins or password entries, allowing for a smoother checkout experience.

A key benefit of this new feature is convenience. After a one-time setup, you can complete transactions in a single tap—whether purchasing digital goods, paying subscriptions, or settling everyday expenses.

Security is also reinforced, as merchants never store sensitive financial data. Even in the event of a system breach, tokens remain unusable to hackers.

To maintain safeguards, Coins.ph has implemented limits on password-free transactions. These include a cap of P1,000 per transaction, P5,000 in total daily spending, and a maximum of five successful transactions per day. Payments exceeding these thresholds will require manual confirmation.

How to link your account

  1. Link your account.  On the merchant’s checkout page, select “Link Coins Account.”
  2. Verify once. You’ll be redirected to Coins.ph (if you have the app, it opens automatically!). Review the terms, enter your One-Time Password (OTP), and you’re set.
  3. Enjoy the speed. From now on, just select Coins.ph at checkout, and the transaction completes instantly.

The feature also benefits merchants by reducing checkout friction and cart abandonment. Link & Pay supports recurring payments and direct debit functionality, allowing businesses to automate collections, improve cash flow predictability, and receive real-time settlements.

Coins.ph says the feature complements its existing WebPay service while offering a faster, more streamlined checkout experience for returning customers.
