Cisco announced at its recent WebexOne 2022 event the Cisco Room Kit EQ video device bundle, a modular room kit that turn your meeting rooms into collaboration hubs.
The kit integrates up to three external displays, comes with the AI-powered Cisco Codec EQ, the intelligent Quad Camera video bar, a touch controller, and room peripheral options.
Also launched at were a range of other features including audio watermarking to protect meeting confidentiality. This feature will tag every participant’s audio stream in a confidential meeting with a marker that cannot be heard by the human ear. This means that if an employee records a meeting where confidential information is discussed, the company can trace the recording back to the individual regardless of how the audio is shared.
Meanwhile, a new Webex Whiteboard app in the Webex Suite offers users access to a simple, easy-to-use digital whiteboard wherever they are working. Anyone can start or join a whiteboard and work together from a browser, the Webex App, or a Cisco device. Whiteboards can be combined with Slido polls, saved and shared in a Webex space for asynchronous ideation.
Cisco also announced that it is partnering with Microsoft to enable Microsoft Teams Rooms experience on Cisco collaboration devices. Six of Cisco’s meeting devices and three peripherals will be certified for Teams.
