Canon expands its creator-focused lineup with the introduction of three new products: the EOS R50 V, PowerShot V1, and RF-S14-30mm f/4-6.3 IS STM PZ. These additions bring enhanced video capabilities to address the evolving needs of content creators.
Designed for comfortable extended use, the lightweight and viewfinder-less EOS R50 V and PowerShot V1 integrate seamlessly with grips and gimbals. Their intuitive button layouts enable effortless one-handed recording.

The EOS R50 V features a redesigned video-centric button and control layout, including a dedicated movie mode dial, one-touch buttons for livestreaming and color modes, and a zoom lever for lens control. This zoom functionality is also integrated into Canon’s first power zoom lens, the RF-S14-30mm f/4-6.3 IS STM PZ. Furthermore, the R50 V offers enhanced vertical shooting with a side tripod socket, auto-rotating display, and an optimized grip and button arrangement.

On the other hand, the slim and portable PowerShot V1 features a versatile f/2.8-4.5 ultrawide zoom lens with a 16-50mm equivalent range, making it ideal for vlogging, livestreaming, reels, and short-form content. Its internal cooling fan, a feature shared with professional cinema cameras, dissipates heat for extended recording and livestreaming sessions.
The EOS R50 V and PowerShot V1 are packed with features that make it easy to create stunning videos. With tools like Smooth Skin mode and 14 color filters, users can instantly enhance their footage in-camera. The advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus, Movie for Close-up Demos mode, and Movie Digital IS ensure sharp focus and steady shots, so creators can concentrate on storytelling.
Both cameras likewsie offer 10-bit Canon Log 3 for wider dynamic range and color grading, high-quality uncropped oversampled 4K 30p and cropped 4K 60p video, and slow-motion recording up to Full HD 100p/120p. Additionally, they include traditional PASM still shooting modes and RAW image support.

The EOS R50 V is the first in its class to offer high-end Cinema EOS video features such as custom pictures and LUTs, HDR recording, professional formats, and exposure tools. There’s also a Slow & Fast Motion movies mode, a Cinema View feature, 3-mic noise reduction technology, Register People Priority for detection and tracking, and support for UVC and UAC 4K 60p livestreaming through a single USB-C cable to a PC.

The PowerShot V1 boasts a 1.0-inch type image sensor, powerful Dual Pixel CMOS AF II (a first for PowerShot), and a built-in 3-stop ND filter for bright shooting conditions.

For video, it offers a wider native ISO range up to 12,800—two stops better than the G7 X Mark III. It also introduces Subject Tracking IS, which intelligently stabilizes footage by tracking the subject’s position within the frame.

The compact and lightweight RF-S14-30mm f/4-6.3 IS STM PZ is Canon’s first lens with built-in power zoom, controllable via the lens ring, the EOS R50 V’s zoom lever, or remotely via the Camera Connect app. Its fixed-length design ensures a consistent center of gravity during zooming, which is beneficial for gimbal use.
The lens also has built-in image stabilization up to 5 stops for stills and 5-axis IS for video when paired with Movie Digital IS. It further enhances stabilization with Coordinated Control IS on cameras with in-body IS.
This lens offers a wide 22.4mm equivalent view ideal for video, and a 48mm equivalent telephoto end perfect for flattering portraits and detailed close-ups thanks to its 0.15m minimum focus and 0.38x magnification.
