vivo has unveiled a new feature-rich entry-level smartphone: the vivo Y01.
This 8.28mm-thin device comes with a 3D back cover that’s sleek but comfortable to hold. It’s also light at 178g, making it easy to use without putting a strain on your hand.
This handset comes in two color variants: a classic Elegant Black and a chic, youthful Sapphire Blue shade.
The vivo Y01 is equipped with a 6.51″ LCD FullView display with a 1600×720-pixel resolution. It comes with Eye Protection Mode filters to shield uses from harmful blue light.
But probably the biggest thing this phone has going for itself is its 5,000mAh battery. It promises 18.74 hours of video streaming and 7.89 hours of intensive gaming even when the phone is running on full power with Wi-Fi connection, 150cd/m2 screen brightness, and 63dB (A) volume.
What’s more, the battery is capable of 5V/1A reverse charging, which means you can use it to charge other devices as well.
The vivo Y01 is powered by a Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 processor and comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot that can hold up to 1TB.
As for the cameras, it has an 8MP rear camera and 5MP for selfies. Both cameras support a range of photo modes from time lapse to face beauty. The Bokeh mode lets users create photos extra trendy and worthy for the gram.
Other features include a Multi-Turbo 3.0 feature that reduces stuttering and lags, FaceWake (a face recognition ID that unlocks the phones when it is picked up), and iManager, which serves as a mobile butler that cleans up space or scans issues at night to keep the phone in good shape for even better performance the next day.
The vivo Y01 retails for P5,299 and is now available at vivo stores nationwide. The first 1,000 customers will also receive FOMEE earphones with their new smartphone.
It’s also available for purchase online at vivo’s Shopee ecomm store exclusively for two weeks starting April 30. Following this, the vivo Y01 will be released at vivo’s Lazada store.
