Ever received a text or call claiming to be from your bank and wondered, “Is this legit?” BPI is partnering with Whoscall to help customers answer that question.

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has teamed up with Gogolook, the company behind anti-scam app Whoscall, to strengthen protection against fraudulent calls and messages and help customers verify legitimate bank communications.

As part of the partnership, qualified BPI customers will get complimentary access to Whoscall Premium Basic for 12 months after successful activation. The app can identify unknown callers, block spam and scam calls, and filter suspicious messages.

Eligible customers will receive instructions on how to activate and redeem the offer through official BPI communication channels.

The initiative aims to address a common concern among bank customers who receive unsolicited calls or messages claiming to be from their financial institution. By helping verify BPI’s official outbound calls and raising scam awareness, the partnership provides an added layer of security for digital banking.

Whoscall is a third-party app, with its features and performance managed by Gogolook, not BPI.

Customers who receive suspicious calls, messages, or requests claiming to be from BPI can contact its 24-hour Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 or 1-800-188-89-100.
