Awards season is here, and Filipino viewers can experience it all—the unforgettable speeches, standout fashion, and cinematic milestones—in real time as the 2026 British Academy Film Awards streams live in the Philippines exclusively on Lionsgate Play.
Broadcast straight from London’s iconic Royal Festival Hall on February 22 (7pm GMT), the ceremony goes live locally on February 23 (Monday). This year’s BAFTAs promise fierce competition. Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another leads with 14 nominations, followed closely by Ryan Coogler’s supernatural thriller Sinners with 13, and Chloe Zhao’s historical drama Hamnet with 11. Josh Safdie’s sports comedy-drama Marty Supreme, starring Timothee Chalamet, also secured 11 nominations. Gothic cinema makes a strong showing with Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein earning eight nods.
The show will be hosted by Scottish actor, writer, producer and presenter Alan Cumming. Music will also take center stage, with Jessie Ware performing during the In-Memoriam segment, while Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—the singing stars of K-pop Demon Hunters—deliver a special performance of “Golden.”
The prestigious BAFTA Fellowship will be awarded to Dame Donna Langley DBE, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment, recognizing her leadership behind major films including Oppenheimer and Wicked.
