Spotify just made finding your next favorite song—or podcast—more effortless than ever. Starting today, Spotify Free and Premium users in the Philippines can now bring Spotify into their ChatGPT conversations for personalized music and podcast recommendations.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Start a conversation in ChatGPT and mention Spotify in your prompt. The first time you do this, you’ll be prompted to connect your Spotify account.
  2. From there, simply ask for songs, artists, albums, playlists, or podcast episodes. ChatGPT will automatically bring up the Spotify app in your chat and use relevant context to accomplish the task. Alternatively, ask for recommendations based on a mood, theme, or topic, and Spotify will surface personalized picks seamlessly within the flow of your conversation.
  3. Tapping a track will open the Spotify app, allowing you to listen and watch directly from there.

Once your Spotify account is linked, ChatGPT can instantly help you find what fits your vibe—whether that’s the newest K-pop single, a playlist of top Filipino acts, or the perfect soundtrack for your next road trip. Just drop a few details like genre, artist, or mood for more accurate picks. The feature is in its early stages, but Spotify is continuously tuning it up for an even better experience.

Free users can access Spotify’s catalog playlists such as Discover Weekly and New Music Friday Philippines, while Premium subscribers get even more personalized selections generated from their listening habits.

This new integration is opt-in, so you can connect or disconnect anytime. Spotify assures users that no content from its platform will be shared with OpenAI for training.

The Spotify app in ChatGPT is now live in English across 145 countries—including the Philippines—and available to all logged-in ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro users on both web and mobile.
