At its Peek Performance event, Apple didn’t just unveil refreshed versions of existing products. It also launched an all-new product—the Mac Studio pro-level desktop—that features the company’s new M1 Ultra chip.

According to the company, the Mac Studio allows users to “do things that are not possible on any other desktop, such as rendering massive 3D environments and playing back 18 streams of ProRes video.”

This mini desktop has a thermal design that includes double-sided blowers, strategically placed airflow channels, and over 4,000 perforations to keep things cool even under the heaviest workload.

It also has tons of I/O, including four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, and 10Gbps Ethernet. There’s also an SD card slot, as well as two additional USB-C connectors on the front.

The Mac Studio with M1 Max starts at P117,990 (32GB RAM, 512GB SSD), while the one equipped with M1 Ultra starts at a whopping P237,990 (64GB RAM, 1TB SSD).

Alongside Mac Studio, Apple also announced its new Studio Display, a 27-inch, 5K Retina display screen encased in an aluminum enclosure. The panel is capable of 600 nits of brightness and P3 wide color gamut coverage.

You can opt for standard glass (starts at P94,990) or opt for a nano-texture glass (starts at P112,990) for workspaces with bright light sources. Nano-texture glass, first introduced on Pro Display XDR, scatters light to further minimize glare while delivering outstanding image quality.

It also features an A13 Bionic chip, six-speaker sound system, three-microphone array, and a 12-megapixel camera with Center Stage.

Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse now come in a silver-and-black color option that complements the design of Studio Display.

The Studio Display’s built-in stand allows the display to tilt up to 30 degrees. There are also other options: a tilt- and height-adjustable stand with a counterbalancing arm and a VESA mount adapter option.
