Acer has maintained its position as the Philippines’ leading laptop brand for two decades. Data from the International Data Corporation Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker for the fourth quarter of 2025 shows the company ranked No. 1 in the country’s laptop market for 20 consecutive years, from 2006 to 2025.
The milestone underscores the company’s sustained growth and strong consumer trust. In 2025, Acer recorded its highest-ever consumer laptop market share at 37.3%, according to NielsenIQ GfK. The brand also led both gaming and non-gaming consumer segments, capturing 40.5% and 36.1% market share, respectively.
Acer’s long run at the top has been driven by its “accessible premium” strategy—offering capable machines at competitive prices. The company also benefits from a wide retail presence, a large service network, and visibility in esports and youth culture through brand partnerships and promotions.
Its laptop lineup spans nearly every price segment. The Aspire series remains a go-to option for students looking for dependable everyday machines, while the Nitro line targets gamers with higher-end specifications and stronger processing power.
Acer has also invested in esports through tournaments such as the Asia Pacific Predator League. Collaborations with popular P-pop group SB19 have further helped the brand connect with younger, digitally savvy consumers.
