A-FLOW, a joint venture between AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) and FLOW Digital Infrastructure, has officially inaugurated ML1, its first data center facility in the Philippines—marking a major step forward for the country’s fast-evolving digital backbone.
Located in Laguna, roughly 35 kilometers south of Metro Manila, ML1 expands the growing data center corridor in the South and is designed to meet surging demand for secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure amid widespread cloud and AI adoption.
ML1 is the first building in A-FLOW’s planned three-building greenfield data center campus, which will deliver a total capacity of 36MW once fully completed. Its initial phase features a 6MW IT load, with the facility engineered for flexibility and scalability to support colocation clients, enterprises, and global cloud providers.
Situated in an emerging data center cluster with low exposure to geological hazards and flooding, ML1 offers both physical security and operational resilience. The carrier-neutral facility is built to international standards and features multiple Points-of-Entry that enable route diversity and high network reliability. It also incorporates multilayered security systems and mission-critical infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Southeast Asia’s data center market is experiencing rapid growth with projections of demand to triple in the period through 2023 to 2030, according to Boston Consulting Group. Research & Markets forecasts the Philippine sector to grow at a 20.9% CAGR through 2030.
