Traffic, long wait times, and safety concerns are some of the challenges commuters face every day. To help address these issues, Cebuana Lhuillier is set to launch ride-hailing app Xpress to benefit not just the riding public but also its partner drivers and riders.

Initially, Xpress will be available in central business districts across Makati, Taguig, Pasig, and adjacent cities and municipalities.

Xpress, a Filipino technology company, aims not only to transform the way people move but also to address the diverse needs of budget-conscious individuals, safety-conscious commuters, and those with hectic schedules.

Backed by sister company Cebuana Lhuillier, Xpress has managed to save costs, resulting in a 16% commission rate for partner riders and ensuring a higher take-home pay for them.

The company also maintains a transparent fee structure, with a larger percentage of the fare going directly to the riders and drivers. This also impacts the fare matrix, offering commuters a more competitive pricing compared to other providers.

Safety is paramount for Xpress, with rigorous onboarding processes, training, driving skills and identification assessments, and vehicle inspections for all partner drivers before activation on the platform.

“We at Xpress learned from the lessons of the past, taking into heart how issues of safety have been the main concern among the riding public, and so we made safety the core of our business,” Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO, said.

The commitment to safety is further demonstrated through a location tracking system, allowing customers to monitor the real-time location of drivers. Additionally, passengers are insured throughout the entire trip.

To celebrate the launch, Xpress is offering special promos and discounts for early users. The app is now available for download on Android and soon on iOS devices.
