The highly anticipated film adaptation of Wicked just dropped a new trailer, giving fans a closer look into the magical world of Shiz University.
The clip begins with the regal headmistress Madame Morrible (Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh) welcoming a new batch of students to the school. As the crowd settles, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), the enigmatic green witch, makes her grand entrance. Glinda (Ariana Grande), the popular and ambitious blonde, can’t help but shriek in surprise, “You’re green!”
This initial encounter sets the stage for the unlikely friendship between Elphaba and Glinda. Despite their differences, they form a bond that is tested by their contrasting personalities and the challenges they face.
The trailer also offers glimpses of other characters, including Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), the charming and carefree prince, and the mysterious Wonderful Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum).
The film also stars Ethan Slater as Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Peter Dinklage as the voice of Dr. Dillamond.
