Jollibee is now accepting Visa card payments in over 1,000 branches nationwide. This marks the first time that the fast food chain is accepting card payments in physical stores in the Philippines.

To celebrate the partnership, Visa and Jollibee launched its ‘Tap-Sarap with Visa’ promotion powered by Maya Business, wherein customers who spend a minimum of P500 on their food purchase using a Visa prepaid, debit, or credit card at any participating Jollibee store in the Philippines will receive one of the following complimentary treats: Cheesy Yumburger, Jolly Spaghetti, Tuna Pie, or Peach Mango Pie.

The promo is applicable to dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru transactions from February 15 to March 1 only.

The partnership between Visa and Jollibee reflects the growing preference of Filipinos for cashless payments. According to Visa’s latest Consumer Payment Attitudes Study, which was conducted with 1,000 Filipino respondents in August to September 2021, 84% have already tried going cashless in 2021, with 60% carrying less cash in their wallets.

This study also found that of the various cashless payment options, card payments (both online and at physical merchants) continue to be one of the more preferred options.
