The Vietnamese automaker has unveiled an updated battery subscription policy in the Philippines, designed to lower upfront costs and take the long-term stress out of owning an EV—without sacrificing peace of mind.
In addition to the traditional route of purchasing a vehicle with the battery included, customers can own a VinFast EV under a battery subscription model. This option significantly reduces the initial price tag—by up to 20 percent, depending on the model. Monthly subscription fees start at just P1,600 and are based on actual driving distance, making the setup especially appealing for urban commuters and lifestyle-focused drivers who value flexibility.

VinFast takes full responsibility for battery performance throughout the subscription period, covering maintenance, repairs, and even free replacement if battery capacity falls below 70 percent. Should the battery be damaged in an accident, VinFast also shoulders the cost, easing one of the biggest concerns associated with EV ownership.
For customers who opt for the traditional vehicle purchase with battery included, VinFast continues to offer generous aftersales coverage, including a battery warranty of up to 10 years or 200,000km. This dual-ownership approach allows customers to match their EV experience with their personal lifestyle and financial priorities.
The updated battery subscription policy complements VinFast’s broader push to make EVs more accessible in the Philippines. From free charging through partner V-Green, to flexible financing and a residual value guarantee of up to 90 percent, the brand is steadily removing barriers to going electric.
