In the aftermath of the 6.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu last September 30, VinFast Philippines and Green GSM have mobilized resources to aid residents and assist in ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
VinFast and Green GSM jointly donated P10 million to the Cebu Provincial Government to aid ongoing recovery operations. The fund will be managed by local authorities and allocated to immediate needs such as essential supplies, housing support, and infrastructure repair.
In addition, Green GSM mobilized relief efforts on the ground as early as October 1, delivering 500 relief packages containing essential food supplies and drinking water. The company is also sending mobile tents and deploying staff to coordinate with local authorities in distributing supplies and supporting logistics.
The initiative reflects the broader spirit of social responsibility championed by Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, whose companies, including VinFast and Green GSM, have consistently contributed to humanitarian efforts during disasters and crises across the region. Pham Nhat Vuong, has twice been recognized by Forbes as an “Asia’s Hero of Philanthropy.”
