TCL debuted its top-of-the-line QM6K TV series at CES 2025, featuring improved picture quality and an immersive viewing experience for movies, sports, and games, with models available in a variety of sizes, including XXL options.

The QM6K series is the first to integrate TCL’s newly enhanced QD-Mini LED technology, which builds upon the company’s history of innovation. TCL, the pioneer of Mini LED technology with the launch of the world’s first Mini LED TV in 2016, continues to leverage its proprietary Pangu Lab—the world’s first full-process Mini LED development center—to push boundaries.

The QM6K’s is equipped with TCL’s new Super High Energy LED Chip, which boosts brightness by 53% and increases energy efficiency by 10%. This powerful chip is paired with an upgraded Condensed Micro Lens that lens improves light control for more accurate and vibrant colors on screen.

The series also features the TCL Micro OD (optical distance) backlight system, which virtually eliminates the halo effect often seen in Mini LED TVs. This system significantly improves picture quality by ensuring even backlighting. The QM6K panel offers a 7,000:1 contrast ratio, which TCL says is five times better than competitors. It also uses Quantum Dot technology for vibrant colors and a long lifespan of up to 100,000 hours.

Other key features include Zero-Delay Transient Response (ensures zero lag between input signal and backlight response), Bi-Directional 23-bit Backlight Controller, and Game Accelerator 288 (supports a 288Hz variable refresh rate).

Together, these hardware and processing advancements create TCL’s Halo Control Technology Suite.

The QM6K series is powered by the AiPQ Pro Processor, which delivers seamless display processing and supports an array of popular content formats and profiles.

Additional features include Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode for cinema-quality viewing, Sleep Sounds Mode tailored for bedroom use, Hands-Free Control for added convenience, and a built-in Onkyo 2.1 speaker system.

The TCL QM6K Series is offered in sizes ranging from 50 inches ($750 or ~ P44,000) to 98 inches ($3,500 or ~P205,000). There’s no word yet if TCL plans to launch the series in the Philippines..
