Suzuki Philippines Inc. enters the hybrid world with the launch of the 7-seater Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid.
The first hybrid MPV in the country is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine (103hp and 138Nm) paired with an integrated starter generator (ISG) and a 12V lithium-ion battery pack called the smart hybrid system.
The ISG acts as a generator that either charges the battery or provides assistance during standing start or acceleration.
According to the Automotive Association of the Philippines (AAP), the MPV gives an impressive 12.54kpL—or 7.6% better than the regular-engine Ertiga in city driving.
Inside, the Ertiga provides comfortable seating for up to 7 people. You also get a 4.2-inch multi-information display, cruise control, D-shaped steering wheels, and a 10-inch touchscreen audio system with Smartlink connectivity.
In terms of safety features, the Ertiga Hybrid comes with anti-lock brakes, electronic stability program, hill hold control, reverse parking sensors, a reverse camera, and dual front airbags.
