Got a mood, a movie character, or even an emoji in mind? Spotify’s new AI Playlist feature can now turn your wildest, weirdest, or most specific ideas into the perfect soundtrack—now available in beta for Premium users in the Philippines.
Since its initial launch last year, Spotify’s AI Playlist has helped Premium users around the world generate millions of playlists tailored to any mood or moment. Now available locally, the feature lets users simply type prompts like “high-energy electropop that takes me to another world” or “workout music to make my ex jealous” to generate custom music collections instantly.
To try it out, head to the Search tab on the Spotify app, type in “AI Playlist,” and choose a suggested prompt or enter one of your own. Spotify’s AI will then curate a personalized playlist based on preferred tracks, artists, and genres, with the option to refine results by requesting tweaks like “more upbeat,” “more new releases,” or “happier songs.”
Spotify recommends using prompts that contain a mix of genres, moods, or artist names. You can also get creative by referencing animals, activities, movie characters, colors, and even emojis.
This feature will continue expanding to users in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, further cementing Spotify’s commitment to enhancing music discovery and helping fans connect more deeply with the music they love.
