Shopee recently partnered with Unilab to provide aid to families and individuals affected by the widespread fire in Mandaue and Typhoon Paeng that hit Cavite.
Shopee delivered 40,000 medicine tablets and 14,000 bottles of vitamins donated by Unilab for over 250 families in Bacoor, Cavite who were affected by severe tropical storm Paeng, and aided over 350 families in Mandaue, Cebu who were displaced due to a massive fire. Shopee volunteers in the area also helped with the distribution to affected individuals.
“At Shopee, we are committed to using our platform and resources to serve the local community. We hope to be able to work with Unilab again, as well as more organizations that share our belief, so that we can better serve all Filipinos wherever they are in the country,” Martin Yu, Director at Shopee Philippines, said.
These efforts are part of Shopee Bayanihan, Shopee’s umbrella CSR arm that seeks to provide support for communities in need through partnerships with various companies and humanitarian organizations.
