With an extended range of over 1,000 kilometers, the new BYD Sealion 6 DM-i offers the freedom to explore without limitations, making electric driving more accessible and enjoyable than ever before.
This compact SUV uses BYD’s advanced Super DM-i platform, offering a powerful, smooth, quiet, and efficient electric driving experience. With a range of more than 1,000km, it’s ideal for city commutes and long-distance travel.
The Sealion 6 DM-i is powered by a permanent synchronous magnet motor paired with an 18.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate Ultra-Safe BYD Blade Battery that sends power to the front wheels via an E-CVT.
The electric SUV delivers 194hp and 325Nm of torque, traveling about 105 kilometers in Full EV mode with zero emissions. With the range extender, the power increases to 214hp.
The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 8.3 seconds, and in Extended-Range mode, it achieves a total driving distance of over 1,000 kilometers.
To demonstrate the Sealion 6 DM-i’s exceptional range capabilities, BYD conducted a grueling 1,608km endurance test. Two Sealion 6 DM-i vehicles successfully completed the Luzon Loop, proving the model’s ability to conquer long distances without compromising comfort or performance.
Beyond its impressive range, the Sealion 6 DM-i offers a host of advanced features, including passive safety features and the full BYD DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance System. This includes 360-degree cameras, a six-sensor radar system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure assist, auto emergency braking, front collision warning, traffic congestion assist, traffic sign recognition, and intelligent speed limit control.
BYD’s new Ocean X Face design gives the Sealion 6 DM-i a sleek look. It features a wide front grille, double U-shaped suspension headlights, and built-in crystal texture light belts.
The stylish design extends to the rear and sides, with 19-inch alloy wheels and a unique rear fascia complete with full-width taillights and sequential turn signals. The Sealion 6 DM-i also boasts premium features like a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, and roof rack.
Inside, the Sealion 6 DM-i gets leather seats with 8-way driver and 4-way passenger power adjustability, as well as heating and ventilating functions.
It also comes with a 12.3-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker Infinity sound system, dual 15W wireless charges, keyless entry, NFC card access, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, and a 12V power socket.
Meanwhile, BYD DiLink connectivity allows the Sealion 6 DM-i to be equipped with a voice assistant feature, 4G connectivity, and the ability to receive software updates over the air.
Additionally, the electric SUV comes with support for the BYD App, which gives owners more information and remote control over their vehicle through their mobile phones.
The Sealion 6 DM-i can be charged at public AC charging stations and includes a 1.7 kW portable charger. A free 7kW wall charger is also provided for faster home charging.
The SUV features vehicle-to-load capabilities to power household appliances or tools. Using a Type-2 port, it charges from 0 to 100% in 2.6 to 3 hours with public AC charging and about nine hours with the portable charger.
The BYD Sealion 6 DM-i is priced at P1,548,000 and is available in Azure Blue, Arctic White, and Harbour Gray. The first two models have an interior in white and navy blue, while the Harbour Gray color has a black-and-tan cabin.
It comes with a 6-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, an 8-year/150,000km electric motor warranty, and an 8-year/160,000km warranty for its blade battery.
