Netflix has announced that the historical action-drama series Pulang Araw will premiere on the platform on July 26—or 72 hours ahead of its scheduled airing on GMA on July 29.
Set against the backdrop of World War II and the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, Pulang Araw tells the story of four childhood friends—Eduardo (Alden Richards), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Adelina (Barbie Forteza), and Hiroshi (David Licauco).
As the war tears their world apart, each character grapples with the harsh realities of conflict. Their dreams are shattered, their friendships strained, and loyalties questioned.
Other cast members include Rhian Ramos, Epy Quizon, Angelu De Leon, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Aidan Veneracion, among others.
