POCO kicks off the celebration of its fifth birthday this year with the launch of two midrange devices targeted at entertainment-loving Gen-Z users: the POCO X5 Pro 5G and POCO X5 5G.
In a first for POCO X series, the 7.9mm-thin POCO X5 Pro 5G features what the brand calls Flow AMOLED, a flexible display technology that makes the phone lighter. The 6.67-inch panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports 100% DCI-P3 and 10-bit color depth and Dolby Vision. It even has 1920Hz PWM dimming to protect eyesight when reading in low light.
The X5 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset paired with either 6 or 8GB RAM and 128 or 256GB storage.
As for the camera system, the phone is equipped with a 108MP f1/1.52” sensor, which is joined by an 8MP ultrawide-angle module and a 2MP macro camera. There’s also a 16MP camera for selfies.
According to POCO, the phone’s 5000mAh battery supports more than 5.5 hours of 4K shooting. And with 67W turbo charging, you’ll get up to 30% charge in just 7 minutes.
Meanwhile, the POCO X5 5G is a slim and light (189g) midranger with a 6.67-inch AMOLED DotDisplay, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and DCI-P3 wide color gamut.
It’s powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset and comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB ROM. Like the Pro variant, the vanilla version has a 5000mAh battery. This time, however, it comes with a 33W fast charger that can fully charge the phone in about 68 minutes.
The POCO X5 Pro comes with a 48MP main + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro rear camera system and a 13MP front shooter.
