Palawan Group of Companies (PGC) has partnered with the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) to streamline loan disbursement and repayment services for farmers and fisherfolk. This partnership reinforces Palawan Group’s commitment to financial inclusion by offering transactions that are “mura, mabilis, at walang kuskos balungos” (affordable, fast, and hassle-free) for its loyal customers.

Through this initiative, farmers and fisherfolk gain convenient access to loans and structured financial solutions tailored to their needs.

As vital contributors to the Philippine economy, these groups have long faced challenges accessing formal financial services. A Senate Economic Planning Office report revealed that farmers comprise the largest segment of unbanked Filipinos, often relying on informal lenders with steep interest rates.

Leveraging its extensive network of over 3,500 branches nationwide, including pawnshops and remittance centers, Palawan Group is strategically positioned to address these gaps. Its outlets, open even on weekends and holidays, minimize disruptions to the daily lives of farmers and fisherfolk, allowing them to repay loans or access funds conveniently.

Additionally, the PalawanPay e-wallet app empowers users to manage finances seamlessly, offering features like loan payments, utility bill settlements, and fund transfers. This digital platform complements the physical branches, ensuring accessibility in even the most remote areas.
