After being previewed at the Manila International Auto Show last April, Ford Philippines has officially taken the wraps off its adventure-ready performance truck: the next-generation Ford Ranger Raptor.

The all-new Raptor gives drivers the confidence to take the vehicle to its limits thanks to its seven driving modes (including Baja mode), trail control system, and a full-time 4-wheel drive system that can be switched to rear-wheel drive. It also includes a rear locking differential, underbody protection, and aggressive approach and departure angles.

It’s also equipped with 2.5-inch FOX shocks with position sensitive damping technology that utilize position-sensitive damping technology to enhance the truck’s off-road capabilities.

The next-gen Raptor looks tough with its bold exterior. The front fascia features new C-shaped daytime running lights and bigger F-O-R-D lettering on the grille. Other key exterior features include 7-inch alloy wheels with BF Goodrich K02 high performance all-terrain tires, cast-aluminum side steps, LED taillights, and a rear bumper with an integrated step and tow bar.

The truck also has a well-appointed interior: a sports steering wheel with a Raptor logo, magnesium paddle shifters, and Code Orange stitching on the instrument panel, trim, and jet fighter-inspired sports seats.

There’s also a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster with fully configurable layout and gauges, wireless charger, windscreen-mounted USB port (for your dashcam), USB ports in the first and second rows, a 12-inch portrait touchscreen center display connected to Ford SYNC4A with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, and six speakers.

Smart safety features include a 360-degree camera with split-view display (helpful when parking in tight spaces and when off-roading), Active Park Assist 2.0, adaptive cruise control with stop & go and lane centering, pre-collision assist with forward collision warning, evasive steer assist, reverse brake assist, lane departure warning, auto high beam, post impact braking, and blind spot information system.

It’s also equipped with FordPass, allowing you to enjoy remote features such as door lock and unlock, vehicle start and stop, vehicle locator, and vehicle status.

The next-gen Raptor is now available across Ford dealers nationwide and on Ford’s online reservation portal with a starting price of P2,339,000 with a 5-year warranty. You can get it in Arctic White, Absolute Black, Blue Lightning, and Conquer Grey, or you can pay an additional P15,000 if you want your truck in Code Orange.

If you’d love to experience driving it before ponying up your P2.3M, you can do so on the specially designed off-road track at the Ford Island Conquest at Arca South Interactive Park, Taguig. The event is ongoing until May 21, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Test drives are until 6 p.m. only.
