Motorcycle taxi company MOVE IT has donated brand new helmets to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) Motorcycle Riding Academy (MRA).

The MRA offers free riding training sessions conducted by expert instructors, with a curriculum designed for both beginners and experienced riders. As participants are required to bring their personal gear, the donation of brand new helmets helps lower barriers to participation in the free course.

This donation continues the ongoing partnership between MOVE IT and the MMDA. Previous collaborations include MMDA-facilitated road safety courses for MOVE IT’s rider-partners, both on-ground and through the MOVE IT Academy app. The moto-taxi platform also previously donated equipment such as agility cones, rider vests, and tents.

MOVE IT General Manager Wayne Jacinto underscores the importance of training and education as the community of two-wheel drivers, whether private riders or motorcycle taxi service providers, continues to grow.
