To make its services more convenient for commuters, LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation has rolled out its Tap2Pay campaign with more LRT-1 merchants as new channels for beep loading and payments services.
This initiative allows passengers to use their beep card to buy goods at more merchant kiosks at different LRT-1 stations such as Baclaran, EDSA, Gil Puyat, Carriedo, D. Jose, and Balintawak. Passengers may also top up their beep cards with any load denomination without convenience fee versus other beep loading partners.
Under this project, LRT-1 merchants are provided with a portable Standalone Payment and Loading Device allowing them to process loading of beep cards and payment transactions without the need for any integration with a Point of Sale (POS) or any external processing system.
Some of the LRT-1 merchants with this beep facility include Master Siomai, Mister Donut, Yumpanada, Waffle Haus, Turks, Eng Bee Tin, Siomai House, The Generics Pharmacy, Just Squeezed, Potato Corner, and Waffle Time.
