Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) clinched the championship title in the Service Advisor category at the Global Service Skills Contest 2025, held in December 2025 at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center in Tokyo, Japan.
Representing the Philippines, Raymond Rivera of Carworld, Inc. emerged as Champion, outperforming top service advisors from 15 countries. The prestigious contest, organized by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, gathers the brand’s global distributors to compete in technical expertise and customer service excellence.

Rivera earned the opportunity to compete internationally after winning MMPC’s Mitsubishi Skills Olympics in January 2025. His journey to the global championship intensified in July, marked by months of focused preparation under the guidance of Allan Veraque Jr., MMPC’s Non-Technical Training Senior Supervisor.
The competition tested both problem-solving skills and customer service abilities. In the first phase, participants completed a matching-type exam and wrote an essay where they gave service recommendations based on realistic customer situations. These scenarios considered preventive maintenance needs, the vehicle’s condition, and the customer’s lifestyle—reflecting real-world service experiences.
The second phase featured a roleplay simulation covering the complete service advisor process, from pre-delivery inspection to vehicle handover. Contestants were evaluated on service accuracy, clarity in explaining repairs and billing, proper vehicle walkaround procedures, and the ability to provide safety reminders, maintenance guidance, and a professional send-off.
Judges placed strong emphasis on customer care, measuring how effectively participants fostered satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term brand value.
Rivera’s victory underscores MMPC’s commitment to developing world-class Filipino talent and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
