With AppKey, Metrobank customers can now authorize transactions through fingerprint or facial recognition, significantly reducing processing time. The added layer of security provided by biometric authentication ensures that only the authorized account holder can access their funds.
Furthermore, the feature requires transaction approval from the primary device, providing an extra safeguard against unauthorized access.
Here’s how to activate the AppKey feature on your Metrobank App:
1. After logging in, tap “Enhance security with AppKey.”
2. Enter your passcode followed by the SMS OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
3. Tap “Yes, enable biometrics” and authenticate via Face ID or fingerprint scan.
After 24 hours, AppKey will be activated on your device and you can start enjoying added security and complete transactions faster.
